KENNARD ISD

BULLYING PREVENTION & REPORTING

Kennard ISD (KISD) has partnered with Crime Stoppers to prevent and address bullying on school campuses. KISD has established procedures for reporting and investigating an incident of bullying, including procedures for a student to anonymously report an incident of bullying.

KISD Students may use Crime Stoppers’ telephone tipline (936-639-TIPS), this website (click the Bullying Tip button), or Crime Stoppers mobile phone app to anonymously report an incident of bullying.  Crime Stoppers needs as much detail as possible regarding the incident, the bully, and the school but DOES NOT want to know who reported the information.  Crime Stoppers will deliver to the appropriate school personnel the reported bullying information but will not reveal the tipster’s identity (Crime Stoppers never collects identifying information).

Unwanted or unwelcome behaviors include bullying, cyberbullying, texting and messaging which harass or threaten. If you are aware of such an incident, please complete the anonymous tip form to initiate an investigatory action by KISD staff.

IN A LIFE-THREATENING SITUATION, CALL 9-1-1

CRIME STOPPERS CAN NOT HELP IN AN EMERGENCY

Stopping bullying is the intent of the bullying prevention program, but Crime Stoppers may pay a reward for anonymously-provided information regarding an incident of bullying.  To be eligible for a reward:

  • the tipster must contact Crime Stoppers directly;

  • the information provided must be previously unknown by the investigating school administrator or law enforcement officer;

  • the information provided must assist a school or a law enforcement agency in addressing an incident of bullying;

  • the offender must be arrested or administratively disciplined for the bullying; and

  • the tipster must remain anonymous.
